Craster Memorial Hall is a wonderful community hub providing warmth, food and drink, social interaction, and internet access, particularly for the vulnerable and those in need, as well as hosting the Parish Council, the Community Trust, the Women’s Institute and the Local History Group.
It was fantastic to visit recently as the Northern Powergrid Foundation handed over a cheque funding most of the Hall’s 10 new solar panels plus Tesla Powerwall backup storage.
These have helped enhance the Hall’s resilience and is so important for the most in need of care, particularly given the recent power outages over the last few years.
Big thanks also to the additional funders, including from the Craster Community Trust directly, as well as donations to the Trust and via the Parish Council from holiday home owners!
