Anne-Marie Trevelyan has been meeting businesses across the region as part of her “Broadband 4 Northumberland” campaign and to support small businesses and local entrepreneurship. Anne-Marie Trevelyan met this week {Tuesday} with Nigel King, the founder of Amble-based, QuestUAV, who manufacture small, fixed wing, unmanned aircraft. After the meeting Anne-Marie Trevelyan said “It was a great pleasure to visit QuestUAV and meet with Nigel King and his team and to see first hand the extraordinary technology – which I have no doubt at all will change the world – being built and sent out from Amble. I look forward to seeing it continue to grow and build on its existing success.” Anne-Marie has been liaising with the local authority and the BT broadband team who have advised that the industrial estate, which QuestUAV are based, will be getting Fibre Broadband in the next three months and are the last part of the roll out for Amble area. Anne-Marie Trevelyan advised; “businesses and individuals are recommended to register with Arch Digital, the group managing rollout within County Hall, so that as soon as its live they will be told and can then change to a superfast broadband contract with their provider.” For any further information on the “Broadband 4 Northumberland” campaign visit www.broadband4northumberland.com, to be included on the 'supporting business' tour please contact Anne-Marie Trevelyan; 07970 653258 or anne-marie@dualtheal.co.uk
