The former leader of the Scottish Conservatives, Annabel Goldie, came to Berwick today to support Anne-Marie Trevelyan's campaign and be the guest of honour at the Berwick Conservatives Christmas Dinner at the Maltings Kitchen.
Annable Goldie gave a speech, filled with characteristic humour and political insight. She spoke to the gathering of her delight at the result of the Scottish referendum, being "wary" of Alex Salmond as he sought a seat in Westminster and of "exciting and changing times" in politics. She also spoke of her admiration of the dedication and hardwork of Anne-Marie Trevelyan and the impact she has already made as a campaigner and as someone not yet an MP.
Annable Goldie was also full of praise for the Maltings Kitchen.
