A key priority for Anne-Marie is supporting the rural communities and services in her constituency. From rural policing, local schools and small businesses, to rural broadband, post offices and banks, this page is a collation of her work towards that.
We have 3,550 businesses registered in our constituency, up 5% from when I first became your MP (and 5,000 in self-employment), and it’s been lovely to pop into even more of them than usual over the summer.
It was lovely to visit the new harbourmaster in beautiful Seahouses recently, one of the many harbours our coastal constituency’s fishing vessels call home. Northumberland’s fishermen, from home harbours of Berwick, Seahouses, Amble and beyond, have shaped our coastal community for centuries.
During Armed Forces Week, I dropped by for a tour of the lovely Rothbury House (pictured), which provides wonderful sheltered housing and independent living for Royal Air Force RAF Association veterans and their spouses.
