She is a member of the Armed Forces Parliamentary Scheme in order to learn more about the challenges faced by the men and women who serve, and their families.She is keen to work to improve access to mental health services for veterans in Northumberland. I’m very proud of our constituency’s critically important armed forces. We’re home to RAF Boulmer, radar station Brizlee Wood, and the Army's Otterburn Training Area – and of course our Northumberland Fusiliers and HMS Northumberland carry our county name across the globe.

It was my honour, as ever, to dedicate our North Northumberland constituency’s Remembrance tribute in the Parliament Constituency Garden of Remembrance this week, in partnership with the Royal British Legion.
During Armed Forces Week, I dropped by for a tour of the lovely Rothbury House (pictured), which provides wonderful sheltered housing and independent living for Royal Air Force RAF Association veterans and their spouses.

Anne-Marie Trevelyan, MP for Berwick-upon-Tweed, has welcomed the new Armed Forces Covenant Duty, which came into effect today. It means a new legal obligation for public bodies in healthcare, education, and housing services to pay due regard to the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.
